What information are we collecting?
“Personally identifiable information” is information that could potentially identify an individual person. You supply us with Personally Identifiable Information by registering with us, e-mailing us, posting content on the Site, or otherwise providing us with information. Upon registration, the only Personally Identifiable Information you will be asked for will include your name and e-mail address. You will need to input your credit card number and other payment information to order a video, however, this information will not be retained by us. We may automatically collect certain user information regarding activity on the Site, such as IP addresses, the operating system, internet service provider (ISP), date/time stamps, and activities. You may also give us Personally Identifiable Information of third parties, for instance, when providing us with an e-mail address for purposes of sharing your video.
How is Personally Identifiable Information being used?
The Personally Identifiable Information that you share with us will be used by us to ensure that your orders are transactions are processed smoothly, that the Site is tailored to your particular profile, and that our services are of high quality. We will not be sharing your Personally Identifiable Information with any third party, nor we will disclose or sell such information with any third party without your prior consent. WeEDIT, however, reserves the right to share your Personally Identifiable Information in good faith where required by applicable law, in order to assist with any legal process, by request of a law enforcement or government agency, pursuant to any government investigation, court order, subpoena, in response to any claim, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or liquidation of the company.
In the case of a merger, acquisition, or sale of a majority of company assets, you will be notified via e-mail and/or a notice on our Site of any change in ownership and use of your Personally Identifiable Information. If these changes in ownership affect your Personally Identifiable Information, you will be informed of any choices you may have regarding your Personally Identifiable Information.
We will retain your Personally Identifiable Information for as long as your account is active or as long as needed to provide you with services, as well as comply with our legal obligations.
Can you edit your information?
You may modify your information at any time by logging into the Site using your password-protected account information. You can also e-mail us at info@WeEDIT.com with a request to change your information.
Security of Personally Identifiable Information
We enact standard security measures to ensure that your Personally Identifiable Information is protected from unauthorized access, loss or misuse. Your account information may only be accessed online by use of a password and we use data encryption for passwords on our Site. To ensure the confidentiality of your Personally Identifiable Information and preclude any third party from gaining access to your account, we strongly suggest that you do not disclose you password to any other person. We also conduct physical checks to ensure there has not been any intrusion to user accounts. To offer additional security in placing orders, we may use third party security tools or services.
“Aggregate Information” is non-personally identifiable information collected together by activity of all of users that shows how the users are using the Site and services. We collect Aggregate Information from our customers using tracking technologies for purposes of administering the Site and evaluating our services and products so that they can be tailored to fit our customers’ needs. We reserve the right to disclose Aggregate Information to third party analytics sites in order to receive reports regarding our user base as a whole. By providing any information to WeEDIT, you consent to the provision of any Aggregate Information to any third party at our discretion.
Your WeEDIT video is limited-access, which means that a user is given an URL in order to access the video. The specific URL to the final video will be provided to the user via e-mail. Sharing the link or e-mail with the link with any other person will result in that person gaining total access to the video including to Personally Identifiable Information within the video. The URL system makes it almost impossible for any unauthorized third party to gain access to the video, without an invitation from you with the URL address. The videos, however, are not password-protected, therefore, there is a possibility that an unauthorized third party may gain access to your video. Also, if you decide to post your video on a third party website, you should not have any expectation of privacy or protection of Personally Identifiable Information. WeEDIT makes no guarantee that the videos are absolutely secure from third party access.
We may also include your video in a WeEDIT advertisement. In such a case, we will seek user consent to use such a video. We may also make copies of the video to provide to promotional partners for the purposes of creating the promotion. Should you want us to remove your video from such a promotion, we will remove it upon your e-mail request to us at info@WeEDIT.com.
Communication with Users
We may occasionally e-mail users with information regarding our products or services. If you indicate your consent upon registration to receiving promotional material from us, we may e-mail you from time to time about products in services that you may be interested in. Only WeEDIT will e-mail you about such promotions and should you not want to receive them anymore, you can let us know by e-mailing us at info@WeEDIT.com.
Compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
In order to set up an account at WeEDIT, you must be 13 years of age. We do not collect Personally Identifiable Information of any persons under the age of 13. Parents may set up an account for their children, and by doing so represent and warrant that they are the parents or legal guardians of the children and have to authority to provide information and render consent on behalf of their children. If you learn that a child under the age of 13 has set up an account on our Site without parental consent, please inform us immediately.
